Pastoral is owned and operated by Greg Truscott. West Country-born Greg began his career in the Royal Parks and was a gardener at the Houses of Parliament before moving into the private sector. Pastoral has since provided direct and sub-contracted horticultural services to clients including: The Parliamentary Estate, English Heritage and the Ministry of Defence. We hold comprehensive public liability insurance and are dedicated to upholding the highest health and safety standards.

THE services of Pastoral Landscapes are available to both the public and commercial sectors. Our specialism is providing grounds maintenance services to heritage sites and historoic properties where considerable care and attention to detail are demanded. Our expertise and service is also available to all other sectors seeking the same high standards for their grounds including private estates, landmarks, places of worship, private residential developments, parish council green spaces, business parks, residential care homes, hotels and hospitality venues. We currently operate from two sites in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire and Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire, and serve the Costwolds and surrounding counties including Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.

WE maintain grounds to a high standard, creating green spaces where residents can enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors, operating considerately so as to cause minimal disturbance.

PASTORAL has extentive experience in maintaining the grounds of private residential estates to create beautiful green spaces that inspire. Where possible we use the latest, low-noice, battery kit.

OUR services are available to all levels of local authorities who value the importance of well-kept civic green spaces. We are fully insured an have extensive experience of working safely in the public realm.

WE know well-groomed grounds are an essential part of hotels' and hospitality venues' 'shop window.' We can maintain beautiful green spaces for guests to enjoy working sensitively so as not to disturb visitors.
Places of Worship
OUR high-specifiction grounds maintenance services are available to all Places of Worship of all Faiths. As with all sites within the public realm we have extensive experience of operating safely and considerately.

PASTORAL is committed to working in ways that do not harm the natural world. Our vision is to maintain beautiful outdoor spaces where people and nature can thrive. We are proud to have delivered special projects to create wildlife gardens and meadows for pollinating insects such as bees and butterflies. We have invested in the latest battery-powered equipment to reduce the need to use petrol-powered tools where possible. We also recycle all of our green waste so it is used to make compost and we do not use chemical pesticides and minimal chemical herbicides. There are huge opportunities within grounds and gardens to create inspiring outdoor spaces that benefit both people, wildlife, and the wider environment, and we can deliver them.

Pastoral Landscapes is committed to working with maximum regard for safety at all times in strict adherence with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. All grounds maintenance activities undertaken are comprehensively risk assessed prior to the commencement of work and mitigation strategies put in place to safeguard both staff and bystanders in all our areas of operation. Site-specific risk assessments are also conducted prior to Pastoral beginning work on a new site. Our equipment is meticulously maintained and used in strict accordance with operational manuals by fully-trained staff wearing approrpriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. All staff are also fully-qualified First Aiders. Copies of our comprehensive Health and Safety Policy, Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and associated records are available electronically as PDF-File documents on request.
